Increasingly, the company was asked to provide lift installations, lift maintenance, servicing and repair services and by 2005 this has become the foremost service offering of the company. Lift installations, maintenance, refurbishments and repairs are the now the main focus of the business but they also prioritise the manufacture of lift control systems, which puts them in a unique position. Unlike other lift companies, they can dramatically reduce the lead time for lift repairs and servicing for lifts as they manufacture many of the requisite control components in-house. About the Role:This is an entry level position offering full training and guidance with the potential to study for an NVQ in Lift Installation. You will be assisting a seasoned lift installation engineer (fitter) on a wide variety of new installation, modernisation and major repair projects in buildings and facilities around London. There may be occasional travel and overnight stays but (by and large) the work will be London focused. Assisting the installation engineer on mechanical and electrical installation functions, you will be flexible, willing to work hard and constantly learn new skills.
About the Candidate:We need a passion for engineering and you will have previously been exposed to electrical or mechanical training. You should be familiar with construction works (any discipline) and fully understand the health and safety requirements of a construction site. You will be flexible, willing to learn and you will need to follow instructions carefully and diligently. You need to have great customer service skills - we work with some very prestigious clients and we pride ourselves on the skill and knowledge of our Engineers as well as their ability to build relationships with our customers.
