About the Client:

M&E Specialist with over 40 years of experience in managing, engineering and executing electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and HVAC projects within the Hydrocarbons, Energy, Life Sciences, Data, Commercial, and Manufacturing business Units. Our Clients is known as one of Europe's leading M&E specialist providers of engineering and construction services across a complete spectrum, ranging from Project Management, Engineering Detailed & Field Construction Management, Safety, QA/QC, Project Controls, Procurement & Contracts and Material Control.

About the Role:

  • Measuring from plan drawings and isometrics to produce fully priced detailed bills of quantities c/w labour hours and material costs
  • Tracking costs and labour through the project
  • Preparing costs for variations
  • Producing monthly valuations
  • Oversee Sub-Contractor financial management
  • Enhance and control the presentation of variations from the Site Managers and Engineers to maximise recoverable value
  • Develop good relationships and meet with our Clients and their Representatives at regular intervals to discuss and agree variations and valuations in conjunction with the Surveying Team
  • Review all Contract Documents for potential risk and exposure
  • Coach and mentor the Engineering Teams on Commercial and Financial aspects
  • Manage and maintain communications between all parties associated with our Contracting activities

About the Candidate:

  • Relevant Quantity Surveying Qualifications
  • Excellent Mechanical or Electrical Technical Knowledge
  • Experience with high-value projects
  • Determination to succeed
  • At least 3 years within a M&E Quantity Surveying Role
  • Previous Industrial sector experience is an advantage
  • Pro-active attitude to work
  • Good technical knowledge
  • Professional outlook
