Project ManagerFire & Security

We are looking for a client facing Project Manager with an exceptional knowledge of electrical systems, especially Fire & Security. The Project Manager will be qualified to NICEIC supervisory level in addition to having a working knowledge of Amtech

About the Client:

We have been established since 2002 and in recent years joined a larger organisation, we are a fully integrated Fire and Security company based in the South East. Our portfolio of contracts range from County Council, local schools police and retirement homes to name a few. We are proud to be NSI Gold, Gent 24 contractor, NICEIC and a SAFE Contractor approved. We are looking to expand our current team due to progression throughout the business

About the Role:

  • Managing site issues, including sub contract and direct labour
  • Managing electrical testing (Qualifying Supervisor Status) and heading NICEIC audit days
  • Managing site health and safety
  • Developing new and existing electrical staff
  • Ensuring the correct orders and contracts are placed with the sub-contract labour
ADDITIONAL The Project Manager will be required to run and manage small projects from cradle to grave. In addition to this the Project Manager will support the electrical operatives in all technical matters and be required to act as the senior qualifying supervisor and successfully maintain our NICEIC status working with other qualifying supervisors. You will also encompass the ability to produce Project Safety Site Files and O&M manuals working to existing templates

About the Candidate:

The successful Project Manager will have a proven track record of doing the following:
  • Ability to provide base design from existing knowledge base and use Amtech design suite.
  • Be able to work with most popular software packages, Word, Excel, Project & one note
  • Manage all project costs and finances reporting monthly to business unit manager
  • Liaising with the project professional team
ADDITIONAL The position is office based in Surrey and will involve site visits and surveys predominantly in London and the Home Counties but on occasion could be further afield. The successful Project Manager will also possess excellent leadership and people management skills in addition to completing any administrative task as part of the role. Knowledge of Amtech, and ESS (Estimating Systems) would be beneficial, though not essential
