Service Engineer - Fire & Security - £28K basic + OTE - Gloucestershire. Due to expansion an NSI and BAFE Accredited client of mine are looking to recruit Service Engineers to join their growing team in Gloucestershire.

About the Client:

Established in 1965, they have grown to become a reputable, experienced and independent company. They have a great track record of customer service and quality, proven by their long standing customer relationships. They work with domestic clients, Government Authorities, Schools, Universities, NHS trusts, Retail, Business, Specialists, Events, Hospitality and Care Industries. My client is looking for an experienced Service Engineer in and around Gloucestershire.

About the Role:

  • Service Engineer (70% PPM/30% Reactive Maintenance, Small Works)
  • Paying up to £28K basic salary dependent on skills/experience
  • Will be mainly working on Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting and Extinguishers but also CCTV, Intruder and Access Control on occasion
  • Majority of work in Gloucestershire with occasional work further afield
  • Call out rota – 4 days every 12 weeks
  • Plenty of overtime available
  • Fully expensed company van provided – private mileage ok
  • 20 days + Bank Holidays
  • All tools and uniform provided

About the Candidate:

  • Must possess a full UK driving licence
  • Have experience of maintaining alarm systems and or other safety equipment such as fire extinguishers or emergency lights
  • Possess electrical knowledge
  • Pass a DBS check
  • Have a proven background through an apprenticeship or similar qualification
  • Be able to carry, lift and climb ladders and steps
  • Able to carry equipment up and down ladders and steps, i.e. detectors, cable and power tools
  • Have the ability to use hand tool and power tools to repair and dismantle equipment
  • A qualification within a technical area would be highly desirable
  • The ideal candidate must possess high personal standards of workmanship, ambition and take pride in the work they carry out.
  • The candidate should be happy to work autonomously and be committed to working safely to meet all health and safety and statutory requirements.
