Stock Controller - Firesec - £27k - Essex. Currently recruiting an experienced ‘Storeman’/’Stock Controller’ to join an established Electrical fire & security company based in Essex. This candidate will efficiently be solely responsible for the ordering the stock via computer database, produce the order form and then deal with the stock when delivered (distribute to Engineers/ Electricians).

About the Client:

My client has over 30 years’ experience in supplying domestic and commercial customers with security and Electrical contracts. This family run business has expanded a lot over the last 3 years due to sheer volume of work and have a need to expand their important inhouse team with an experienced Stock controller for their offices in Essex.

About the Role:

  • Permenant job role
  • Office hours 08:30-17:30
  • Controlling company stock
  • Keeping accurate records of the items and their location
  • Preparing stock for team of Engineers/Electricians
  • Ensuring stock and stock area is kept neat and tidy at all times and items are correctly labelled
  • Maintaining weekly inventory
  • Assisting with quarterly full stock takes
  • Liaising with planning and inspection to ensure that stock is prepared ready for daily workloads- into Engineers vehicles
  • Upkeep of company’s fleet of vehicles/ vehicle maintenance/ Mot’s
  • Making improvements on stock system management
  • Assisting other departments as required
  • Driving to and from site on occasion/ delivering stock ( ad hoc)

About the Candidate:

  • Previous Stock Control/Storeman/Warehouse Experience
  • Experience with CCTV, access control and intruder alarms beneficial
  • System experience (electrical/ alarms)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be IT literate with Microsoft Office Skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • No criminal record or ccjs
  • Live near Essex as will be travelling to the office everyday
  • Fit and able to lift stock in and out of workvans

Points of Appeal:

  • £27k basic salary
  • Office hours 08:30 -17:30 (flexible dependant on needs)
  • 20 days holiday plus BH (increasing with service)
  • Office based ESSEX (car parking available)
